Sometimes in life all it takes to move from a state of stagnation to one of momentum is just a little more push, that extra degree.

Water boils at 212 degrees. At 211 degrees it is just hot. That extra degree is the difference which creates a whole new set of outcomes as boiling water leads to steam, which can power a locomotive!

So what relevance does that extra degree have to our businesses and our lives?

Ghandi summed it up well when he said

“Be the change you want to see in the world”.

Meaning that to get what we’ve never had, we need to do what we’ve never done!

The video below is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved by striving to produce just that little bit more effort.

Now don’t think that all this is great but it doesn’t apply to you.

We ALL have that something within us that will give us that extra degree IF we choose to engage it. And often the ‘underdog’ is much better suited to success than the over-achiever.

We are all born with an instinctive drive to survive. But some people want more than just survival.

They have a feeling that there is much more to life than what they have at present. They have something in them driving them to seek something better.

Is this you? Do you have passion and purpose?  Do you know WHY you do what you do? What is the point of it?

If you do, that’s great. Then all you need to do to supercharge your life is apply that one extra degree of effort and you will be unstoppable!

If you don’t yet have passion and purpose, think about how much better your life and/or business could be if you did.

“All great achievements start with passion. Passion is what fuels everything. Passion is what motivates you.
It is your unique lens on the world that shapes not only who you are, but who you connect with and what opportunities you pursue. You know that you are passionate about something when you become restless, when you wake up every morning knowing that you cannot not create whatever it is that you are passionate about.

Passion is what shapes your purpose in life and in business. When your idea for a venture or a cause starts taking shape, purpose is what ultimately helps define it.” Extract from The Leadership Philosophy of 3 P’s
