How do you define success? What does it mean to you?
One definition I found is that success is ‘The accomplishment of one’s goals’.
I think that is an important distinction. Success should be what you consider it to be. Not what other people might define as success.
Today I thought I would share a video from Brendon Burchard – ‘How Incredibly Successful People Think’.
Success is a mindset game.
It comes down to how we manage our mind and our days, the way we approach something new.
When unsuccessful people have a big dream, and they think about what they need to do to achieve that dream, they start doubting themselves and what is possible.
They might say:
1. I don’t know how to do that
2. I don’t have those things
3. I’m not like that
and so they stop.
[Tweet “Successful people have dreams too but the difference with them is that they learn what they need to.”]
They take their current limitations as something that they need to work on. And then they go out and do what’s necessary.
You can become the type of person you need to be to achieve your dreams.
But it has to come from within you.
And I found this article that you may find interesting too:
My favourite one is:
“We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes – understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.” –Arianna Huffington (AOL/Editor In Chief of Huffington Post)
I would love to know which quote resonates most with you, so please share in the comments below.
