I enjoy using Twitter and reading others' tweets, but as your following grows, you do start to wonder how many of your tweets are actually read and by whom.
There is such great activity on Twitter that your tweet may only be at the top of someone's screen for a second before it is overtaken by someone else.
So how do you get noticed on Twitter?
Well, I think establishing relationships is just as important here as in other forms of social networking. You need to be interesting and give value. You need to interact with others as you would in a face-to-face setting. And always be polite. Don't use Twitter to make derogatory remarks about others or your tweets will get noticed for all the wrong reasons!

I particularly like the tip about keeping your Tweets to under 100 characters so that others can add a comment when they retweet.
