Today is the start of a new chapter of my life.

I have committed to working with the Six Figure Mentors (SFM) and am looking forward to a bright and successful future.

And I must say it has come at a very opportune time. The opportunity to work from home has proved to be a great blessing.

For the past three weeks we have been shrouded in snow. For the first two weeks, my car was snowed in and I just walked to the shops when necessary. I sat at home and watched my neighbours struggling to dig their cars out and being pushed up the street when they got stuck. For those who opted to use public transport, journeys were horrendous as buses and trains were cancelled, and the main bridge over the river was closed for a day due to snow, for the first time in its 45 year history.

Schools were closed for a week and a half so that even those who could get to work had the problem of what arrangements to make for their children.

The situation has been compounded by days of sub-zero temperatures causing the snow that has melted to refreeze and making the pavements treacherous, so that even those that can walk to work have a nightmare journey.

Today we have had more snow so that those driving to work tomorrow will have to dig their cars out again.

However, I shall be able to sit in the warmth and comfort of my own home, knowing that I am creating a life and a future that will offer far more than most of those who trade their time for money can ever hope to achieve.

Join me on my journey.

PS It was great to see neighbours helping each other out. Community spirit is still alive when faced with adversity!
